1. **Flaminio Scala was a Commedia dell'Arte actor of the early 1600's in northern Italy and he published 50 plot structures in Il Teatro delle favole rappresentative in 1611, which was translated by Henry F. Salerno as Scenarios of the Commedia dell'Arte. New York University Press, NY/1967). This is probably the most comprehensive collection; some of the plots are more useful than others but with so many you can choose several. It takes a while to get used to the complicated action and, fully performed, each one would last about 2-3 hours but they can be cut easily without losing the flavor of the scene.
